ABOUT CLAIRE

Warm, direct, and genuinely  human

she/her
I trained because I needed therapy myself once, and a wonderful counsellor changed things for me. I wanted to offer that to others. That's still why I do this.
WHO I AM
A person first, a therapist second

I'm a person-centred psychotherapist, late-diagnosed ADHDer, and someone with a wealth of life behind me. I've mainly worked in caring and supportive roles — including with children and young people — and that experience, alongside my training, shapes everything I bring to sessions.

I'm feminist, creative, and earthy. I love nature, all animals, books, and eating cake under a blanket. I have two dogs, several cats, a rabbit who eats the skirting board, chickens, and three adult children.

I care about politics — because for many of the people I work with, daily life is political. That belongs in the room.

MY EXPERIENCE AND APPROACH
How I work
LIVED EXPERIENCE
Late-diagnosed ADHD
I know what it costs to spend years adapting yourself to a world that wasn't built for you. That's not a talking point — it's a genuine understanding that shapes how I work with neurodivergent clients.
PERSON CENTERED
You lead, I follow
There is no fixed plan. You are the expert on yourself. My job is to work alongside you — collaboratively, at your pace, with no agenda other than your wellbeing.
CREATIVE THERAPIES
More than just talking
I know what it costs to spend years adapting yourself to a world that wasn't built for you. That's not a talking point — it's a genuine understanding that shapes how I work with neurodivergent clients.
WHO I WORK WITH
Adults & young people 16+
I'm open and inclusive regardless of gender, sexuality, ethnicity, class, ability, religion, or age. I'm also a sessional therapist with Survivors in Transition, supporting survivors of sexual violence.

A NOTE IF YOU'RE NERVOUS
You don't need to have it figured out

Starting therapy — whether for the first time or with someone new — can feel like a lot. You might not know what to say or where to begin. That's okay. You've already done something brave by looking. When you're ready, reach out.
